Come out and enjoy Italian folk standards performed by Pino Marelli!
Pino Marelli was born in Bari, Italy, the son of a classical musician. When he was young, his family moved to Milan, where he studied music at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music. Afterwards, he traveled throughout the world, most predominately in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, entertaining on cruise ships. In 1987, he brought his family to the United States and began Marelli Productions Inc., PM Records Inc., and MG Entertainment Agency.
Marelli believes the problem with the world is people not listening to one another, and that music is a universal language. “People listen to music no matter what the language they speak, and music can help educate people.”
He also hosts the Italian-American newsmagazine program “Italy con Noi” (Italy with Us) on Comcast cable, highlighting local events and up-to-date news and happenings in Italy.

The Michigan Mosaic Music Festival is a public celebration of diversity and unity on Labor Day weekend in Michigan’s capital city.
The event is staged over Labor Day weekend in cooperation with Michigan Institute for Contemporary Art, the labor community, and the City of Lansing. Activities include multicultural dance, music, activities, cuisine and live bands.
This year’s festival will take place Friday, August 31 through Sunday, September 2, 2012.
