Is it really a free festival?

Yes, this is a free festival – where one can enjoy all performances without charge. Donations are encouraged to help the nonprofit organizers keep the festival free.

Where might I end up spending money?

You will want to bring cash to purchase food, beverages, and merchandise from our vendors. You may choose to pay for parking as well, though we encourage use of the convenient free parking around the festival grounds.

Admission to the Turnaround Lounge (festival beverage tent) is $5/day. This is a prime location to enjoy music and cultural performances. The beverage tent is also the only festival vendor licensed to sell alcohol. Because of this, all entrants must show ID proving they are at least 21 years of age.

What is seating like?

Chairs are provided in front of the stage, but we cannot guarantee to accommodate everyone who attends. Many choose to bring their own portable chairs.

What is your weather/cancellation policy?

The festival continues, rain or shine, with covered stages and some covered seating. If the forecast is discouraging, bring an umbrella. Of course, if severe weather would jeopardize persons or equipment, performances will be halted until such conditions have passed.

May I bring my pet?

In general we recommend against exposing animals to the confusion of sounds, smells, and crowds experienced at a major outdoor music festival.  If you do choose to bring pets, please be considerate of them and of fellow festival-goers by enjoying the music from less crowded areas of the park. Also, if choosing to bring a dog, be aware that city park policy requires it be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and that you clean up after your dog.

No animals (except service animals) will be allowed in the Turnaround Lounge (beverage tent).

What should I bring?

You will want to bring cash to purchase food, beverages, and merchandise from our vendors. Collapsible chairs are handy for performances where provided seating is scarce. Festival-goers are encouraged to be ready for any weather situation: sunscreen, water, a hat, a jacket, and an umbrella are useful for this.

Where can I find a convenient ATM?

The ATM most accessible to the festival grounds is inside the Quality Dairy store on Saginaw between Cedar and Larch, open 24 hours. It’s a quick 1-2 block walk.
